Nov-Dec `03 Trip |
|
Here's some quick photos of the property.
Four days of work -- half the time fixing stuff.
Loads of brush removal, and regrading 5-foot drop-offs.
110 gallon diesel trailer, and in the background the tow-chain and pump on the drag-pan.
The Excavator (some hydraulic leaks) and Dump Truck (dead batteries).
The daily drive along the railway.
a bit further...
almost there...
Made it.
The railway straightens out in the North-Fourty.
Pivoting left, one marker flag can be seen, the other is hard to see.
The property line is from that flag to the middle tree.
My neighbors in Lot-2 and Lot-1.
Around the corner of the tree-marker, there's two-pair of sticks on the horizon.
Property line runs to left of the smaller stick on the right-pair.
Mostly low brush through here.
Half the triangle is deep woods.
Attempting to protect the big trees.
Big brush piles.
Pictures close to the north-east corner of the triangle -- looking West.
Panning left...
Panning left... (railway on left edge)
Still panning left... (railway off right edge)
Final Pan. Brush pile. 50 feet left and 150 feet forward of that,
needs to be cleared to reach north-east corner of triangle.
Fence line of north-edge of railway.
Barbwire cutting into tree -- may lose this one.
Black patch on left-root is spray-on tar-insecticide.
Ran out of spray, need to protect front-right root, and wire cuts.
Standing in gap of two pan-images ago,
looking at the 80-acre, center, east-edge oak tree -- on the horizon.
Panning right...
Lots of pine stumps, difficult to push brush piles.
This tree, probably going to be removed.
Panning right... (Trees on horizon define south-edge nearly half mile from this point)
Panning right... (looking back along railway)
Some shots walking back along the railway.
looking right...
Same spot, looking along railway.
